Highland Park 12yo – Tasting Notes

Light sweet smoke and fruity notes come to the nose first. Tasted this one after the 10 year old, and this has a bit more to it, a bit thicker nose. Fruity is the heavy note in this one, lemon, pink grapefruit, sweet mixed red fruit. Combined with vanilla you get a full and rich fruitcake, fresh and sweet. It is soft, and as said fruity. But there is also a light earthy feel to it in the back. It is not in your face nose overall, but soft, and fuller then the 10.

Sweet, fruity, dense fruitcake, creamy, bit heather and smoky notes. Apricots, apples, orange, lemon, grapes, berries, strawberry, vanilla and honey.

Medium length finish, sweet vanilla and berries.

A small 7 out of 10. It has much in it, but it is not too present all of it. Would be great if the notes were a bit more present maybe…
