That Boutique-y Whisky Company shared a very interesting dram from their independently bottled whisky line last week in a twitter tasting. It comes from the Glenrothes distillery at an age of 25 years old, bottled at 49,7%.
On the nose I can find flavours of slices of warm caramelized red apples coated with a rich creme brulee note, almonds, coconut macaroons, ginger freshness, oranges, pear juice and some fresh wood shavings. The palate shows me peppery and spice notes at first, then a warm and sweet creamy layer of peach, mango, oranges, vanilla, and hint of chocolate flakes appear.
Cereal notes, goose berry, dry white grape skin, canned peaches, red summer fruit and a light nutty note make it an enjoyable dram with a very sweet demerara sugary feeling on the teeth after the medium length finish that has a strong note of canned tropical fruits. Thanks for sharing it in the Twitter Tasting last week That Boutique-y Whisky Company!
