That Boutique-y Gin Company recently released a line up of Boutique-y Gins. A great way to get familiar with different kind of gins. In this review I am having a closer look at the Greensand Ridge Gin, batch 1 bottled at 46%.
On the nose I am getting sweet notes of warm hazelnuts, creamy vanilla pudding, apple blossom, fudge, redcurrant, raspberry, cherry blossom and shortbread. The palate is showing me notes of baking spices, warm chocolate chip cookies, raisins, vanilla sponge cake, summer fruit jam, fennel, red apples, nuts and candied oranges. A soft finish leaving a creamy vanilla note together with a soft note of crushed pistachios.
With Fever-Tree tonic water added more floral notes come forward on the nose together with warm apple and liquorice. The palate releases a fudge and summer fruit mix sweetness together with a mint freshness. Hint of nuts, raspberries and coconut mixing in with orange flavours on the finish. A very interesting gin both diluted and undiluted, thanks for sharing a sample That Boutique-y Gin Company!
