A sample of the Fettercairn Fasque bottled at 42% found its way to WhiskySpeller HQ thanks to the kind Drinks by the Dram folks. A lovely dram with a sweet soft nose filled with coffee, dark chocolate, marzipan, mace, clove, black pepper balls, honey, vanilla, black current and cinnamon notes.
The palate gives me flavours of walnuts, oranges, fudges, black pepper, creamy lemon notes, raisin, vanilla, dried apples, gingerbread and honey. A thick syrupy palate with a medium length finish leaving a sticky mouth feel with lemon and fudge. Think this dram would go very nicely with a good platter of cheese… Thanks Drinks by the Dram for sharing the sample!
