That Boutique-y Gin Company collaborated with Hernö Distillery in Sweden to produce this (batch 1) gin at 46,2%. A nose that is filled with flavours of rose hip, violet, pine cones, juniper, honey, white pepper and lemon. The palate really carriers that feeling through and delivers sweet fruity and floral notes mixed with fresh citrus and herbal. The finish is of medium length with a creamy clover honey and chamomile note.
Adding Fever Tree tonic to it really makes it explode with more floral and herbal notes. There is a bitter note that is more present on the nose when diluted between the sweetness. But the palate seems to be less outspoken then before and becomes even more honey sweet mixed with dried fruits and a soft note of sponge cake. A gin that carriers a high dose of floral notes, too much for my personal taste must say, but if you like that kind of thing, then do try this one for sure…!
