Copper Dog

Door number 10 of the Drinks by the Dram Scotch Whisky Advent Calendar is open and a sample of Copper Dog is revealed! A blend bottled at 40% and made up from eight different whiskies from the Speyside region.

On the nose I can find flavours of sweet flowers and different fruits. Some powdered sugar, creamy vanilla, oranges, grapefruit, apricots, ginger bread, soft canned fruit , applesauce, jam filled donuts and a hint of marzipan…

A balanced feeling when moving from the nose to the palate. The flavours are very similar on the palate as found on the nose but the mixed canned fruit and applesauce move a bit to the front. But overall the notes stay very softly present and not anything overpowering…

The finish is also soft and not very long I find. Some candied ginger notes seem to appear a bit but not much. Thanks to #DrinksbytheDram for sharing this #WhiskyAdvent !
